Yesterday, a video made rounds on the Nigerian digital space, which showed ace gospel singer, Tope Alabi, criticising a popular song, Oniduro Mi, by iconic singer, Yinka Alaseyori.
In the Yoruba language, Oniduro Mi simply means guarantor. With her song, Alaseyori exalted God as her guarantor and one who never forsakes His own.
While commenting on the song, Alabi noted that God was more than a guarantor to her. The singer further said that there was a time she wanted to sing the song but the Holy Spirit cautioned her against doing so.
Tope Alabi’s comment has elicited negative reactions from music lovers as the gospel singer is currently trending across social media platforms.
Commenting on the issue via Instagram, Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph, wrote, “But there’s nothing wrong with this line anyway. The song is blown, the thing don enter gospel musicians’ side. Open it season. Sending them LOVE and LIGHT kpichicom Awa’ m.” (sic)
Singer, Slimcase, opined that Tope Alabi could have had a private discussion with Alaseyori.
He wrote, “Get wisdom; in all thy getting, get understanding. What if she holla at her and tell her in private. That’s why the Bible says ‘Come let us reason together’.”
Adetutu Balogun, via the handle @Tutsy22 tweeted, “Tope Alabi publicly condemned Yinka Alaseyori’s Onídùró mi song, but God changed the criticism to free PR.
“Genesis 50:20 ‘But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”
Also, @biolamakiju wrote, “The Oniduro himself has used Tope Alabi to catapult Yinka Alaseyori more into limelight. Shey you see as Oniduro dey work. Oniduro, thank you oo.” (sic)
More so, Kayode Ogundamisi, via his Twitter handle, thanked Tope Alabi for introducing him to the song, Oniduro Mi, as he wrote, “Thank you Tope Alabi. Now I know about the song and it just speaks to the rough patch my family and myself have been passing through in over a year and how God has been our guarantor. Downloading the song. My ringtone. “ONÍÌDÚRÓ MI, Ẹ ṢÉ OOOO! Mo dúpẹ́!!”(sic)
I will give Tega a second chance if she apologises- Husband
Ajeboh Krislawrence, the husband of Tega — a recently evicted Big Brother Naija housemate — has stated that he will give his wife a second chance if she comes back and apologises for her actions while in the Big Brother house.
Krislawrence added that he would not abandon his wife, despite some video snippets which surfaced online suggesting she cheated on him with a fellow contestant, Boma.
According to him, although his wife’s actions made him sad and broken, he believes that she needs him now more than ever.
In an Instagram Live chat with popular blogger, Tunde Ednut, Krislawrence mentioned that he was shocked by his wife’s behaviour while she was in the BBNaija house.
He said, “I feel so sad and terrible, I cannot even lie. I cannot even leave my house because there are a lot of stories on the street. I am broken. Basically, I am broken. I am down. I will not lie. Tega had been a very, very good girl. Let me forget this side of her, she has been a very good girl. I am surprised; when I saw it, I said this is not my wife. It felt as if they cloned her because that could not have been Tega.
“I have never seen this side of Tega because she is a God-fearing woman. She has never disobeyed me. This is a different Tega I am seeing. I am really shocked. I am down and broken. I want that Tega I used to know back not the Tega of Big Brother house.”
Krislawrence revealed that if his wife is remorseful, he will accept her back. He further asked Nigerians to pray for his family.
He said, “I am just human, we are all humans. I believe that we have all sinned and God will forgive us. If I do anything funny right now, I do not know what might happen. I believe she knows that what she did was totally bad but I believe that she needs us right now more than ever.
“I will not throw her away; she is my wife. Yes, she has disappointed me, but I think these things come with marriage. There is no perfect marriage. I have never had an issue before with my marriage for the past four years. We have never had issues. Since this is our first issue, I do not think I should abandon her. What we just need is for Nigerians to pray for us.
“If she comes back and apologises, I will give her a second chance; but if she comes and says what she did was okay, I will let her go and I will move on.”
Annie Idibia slams Tuface for allegedly having Affairs with Baby Mamas
Popular Nigerian actress, Annie Idibia, in a now-deleted Instagram Story post has accused her husband, Tuface, of infidelity. In the post, Annie claimed that Tuface’s family never found her worthy of him despite all her efforts.
She said, “I’m a patient woman, I am not a fool innocent! Your family never loved me from the beginning, no matter how hard I tried. I was never worthy to them. I have made so many sacrifices for you and all your children. God knows I have tried.”(sic).
Annie further claimed that the singer spent nights under the same roof with one of his baby mamas after taking his kids to Disney Land.
“What kind of man takes his kids to Disney and spends nights in the same apartment with his kids and their mother! How many times have you gone to see your kids with Pero and she stays with you and the kids under the same roof for nights?” she claimed.
In the post, Annie urged her husband to do better and also indicted the singer’s manager, Efe. Annie further claimed that Tuface’s baby mamas use his children ‘as an excuse for all sorts of rubbish’.
She wrote, “Your baby mamas constantly use your children as an excuse for all sorts of rubbish! I try to stay gracious!! You’re not the first man on the planet to have kids by different women. You can do better. Everything I do is to show the good human that you are!!! But today, this move by you, Efe, Frankie, and your family is unacceptable.”
However, efforts to reach out to Efe Omorogbe, Tuface’s manager to comment on the issue was futile as his phone was switched off.
